beauty in moments

If all that is beautiful could be held in one's fingertips, I wonder if we would ever get out of bed in the morning. The selfish desires that we attain each and every day are but fragments into what we call happiness. And for a moment in time, bliss is found in the eyes of another, a sip of tea and a breath of fresh cut grass; you ask yourself why happiness had to leave. You then realize - all the beauty of the world was in that moment - and if it had lasted, you would have given up your senses. You would have stopped breathing in so deeply that it makes your lungs ache. You would have stopped seeing the detail of a world that is whole by emotion yet torn apart by logic. And if all the beauty of that moment had lasted, you would have lost the desire to unveil what lies beyond beauty.
